- Small black spots (droppings) on sheets or mattress
- Blood stains on sheets
- Shed skins on the mattress
- Sweet musty odor in the bedroom
- Live bugs in mattress seams
Prevention tips
- Inspect used furniture before bringing it home
- Use bed bug-proof covers for mattresses and pillows
- Vacuum regularly around bed and furniture
- Avoid placing luggage on the bed when traveling
- Wash bedding in hot water (60 C) regularly
- Seal cracks in walls and baseboards
